Zeekr 9X:

A New Benchmark in Luxury Hybrid SUVs

 

Zeekr, the premium electric brand under Geely, has officially announced that the Zeekr 9X will be launched on September 29. Positioned as a flagship hybrid SUV, the 9X combines cutting-edge technology, luxurious design, and outstanding performance, setting a new standard in the segment.

 

Design and Exterior

 

The Zeekr 9X makes a bold statement with its robust and elegant proportions. The front fascia features the brand’s signature chrome grille, similar to the Zeekr 009, complemented by matrix diamond headlights for a distinctive look. A new “Black Knight” color option further enhances its commanding presence.

 

On the side, the SUV integrates hidden door handles, a large rear quarter window, and a thick D-pillar, emphasizing both aerodynamics and stability. The luxury-inspired “disc-style” wheels underline its premium character. At the rear, the panoramic diamond-cut taillight strip with over 42,000 facets creates an unmistakable lighting signature.

 

Interior and Comfort

 

Inside, the Zeekr 9X adopts a two-tone interior with refined materials, highlighted by orange accents and wood grain details on the center console. The SUV features a six-seat layout with aviation-style second-row seats, ensuring maximum comfort for every passenger.

 

Intelligent Driving

 

The Zeekr 9X debuts the Qianli Haohan H9 intelligent driving system, based on Zeekr’s L3 autonomous driving architecture. Powered by the ZEEA 3.0 centralized digital platform, the system offers a 50% faster response time compared to earlier versions.

 

Hardware includes five LiDAR sensors (one long-range and four blind-spot units) and, notably, the Zeekr 9X is the world’s first vehicle to feature dual NVIDIA DRIVE Thor chips, delivering a computing power of 1,400 TOPS.

 

Powertrain and Performance

 

The Zeekr 9X is the brand’s first hybrid model, equipped with Zeekr’s Super Hybrid Technology. This advanced system integrates the strengths of pure EVs, plug-in hybrids, and range extenders.

In terms of efficiency, the SUV offers up to 380 km of CLTC pure-electric range and supports 6C ultra-fast charging. The 2.0T dedicated hybrid engine produces 205 kW with a thermal efficiency exceeding 46%, while the range extender generator delivers a record-breaking 145 kW peak output.
